Junior Optimist International members represent the times well by making their communities better - one service project at a time.
The Marshalltown Optimist Bobcat Club meets every Wednesday at the YMCA Cultural Center from 3:15 to 4:30 for 3rd through 8th graders. Contact Deb Grove at the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA to sign up. There is no charge unless your child plans to stay for Fit Kids.
JOI Clubs focus on learning about volunteerism, leadership skills, teamwork, and serving the needs of others. Members elect officers and coordinate their community service projects and fundraisers with a lot of help from the Club Advisor. This group also plans social events for club members and their parents.
